Thermal drone inspections · Western Canada

Thermal inspections delivered in 3D

We capture radiometric thermal data on buildings, bridges, civil infrastructure and industrial assets so teams can quickly locate, review and act on flagged observations.

Split thermal and visual building point cloud. Load the example to rotate, zoom and inspect point temperatures.

Featured service

Understand your
building envelope.
In its full context.

From roof surfaces to wall junctions, get a thermal record that keeps observations attached to the building they came from.

For property owners, building-envelope consultants, roofing specialists and restoration teams investigating concerns or planning repair follow-up.

Whole-building exterior capture, where conditions allow.
What we capture
Radiometric thermal and spatial data across the exterior, including suitable roof areas.
What you receive
A 3D thermal record with an interactive viewer, source imagery and a summary of observations and limitations.
What it supports
Focused investigation, repair planning and a baseline for future comparison.

The difference

The roof is only part of the picture.

The conventional approach

2D thermal orthomosaic

See roof-level heat patterns from above. Vertical surfaces, such as roof vents, flatten into the roof image, mixing their thermal readings with those of the surrounding roof and making accurate interpretation harder.

What we deliver

Radiometric thermal data in 3D

Inspect roofs, walls and junctions together, with temperature readings attached to their position.

The method

From a thermal capture
to evidence you can return to.

Every reading belongs to a surface.
We keep that relationship intact.

  1. 01

    Capture

Collect radiometric thermal and spatial data during a suitable capture window.

  2. 02

    Preserve

Keep each temperature reading attached to its position in 3D, together with its source imagery, environmental context and telemetry.

  3. 03

    Review

Examine observations and flagged areas of concern in 3D context. Potential reflections are flagged in advance, helping you focus on observations that warrant closer review.

  4. 04

    Use and share

Bring the 3D record into your own workflow to review or share with your team.

Marked for investigation

A cold area beneath the east door.

The inspection automatically flagged a cold area beneath the east door. The reviewer marked it for investigation and noted possible door gasket failure. Measurements and review notes stay attached to the observation, which you can link to an asset in your existing register.

The observation stays attached to its location, source frames and review decision. Thermal observations guide further assessment; they do not establish a diagnosis on their own.

The data

See the evidence behind every point.

Review temperature, observations and viewing angles at each point, alongside solar exposure and weather at capture.

01

A measurable 3D record

Return to a wall, roof or component and review the readings where they were captured.

02

Source imagery and observations

Follow the measurement back to its frames, material inputs and recorded review decision.

03

A structured handoff

GeoJSON features carry geometry, coordinates, measurements and evidence for GIS and BIM workflows.

Selected point on the building with temperature, coordinates and elevation, observations, viewing-angle range, agreement across views, solar exposure, surface orientation and weather at capture.
Environmental context for the selected point: solar exposure, surface orientation and weather at capture.

Practical questions

What do I receive?

An interactive 3D thermal record, source imagery, raw data files and a summary of observations and limitations.

How much does an inspection cost?

Pricing depends on the size and number of structures. Contact us for a custom quote; repeat inspections receive a discounted rate.

Where do you work?

Precision Flight Data is based in Calgary and serves projects across Western Canada.

Does this replace a professional assessment?

No. The survey provides located, traceable thermal evidence for further assessment; thermal observations alone do not establish a diagnosis.
