Terrain planning toolkit · Built for your property

Draw the plan. Get the numbers.

Work directly on a terrain model of your property. Draw what you are considering and get the capacity, cut and fill, grade, drainage area or acreage. Change an input and the answer recalculates.

  • Plan a Pond/Embankment
  • Balance a Building Pad
  • Plan a Graded Road/Fence
  • Plan for Drainage
  • Set a Setback
  • Split into Zones
  • Attach Object Metadata

From $499 CAD Toolkit and Google Earth terrain package included. No subscription.

One tool, many jobsShort demonstration · 39 sec
Draw on the terrain, adjust the inputs, then send the finished plan to Google Earth. No GIS software, account or licence.

What the tool does

Start with the decision, not the software.

Choose the job, draw on the map and read the result. Every tool uses the measured terrain beneath your property.

Plan a Pond

Draw the waterline, move the level and see how the footprint and storage change.

Capacity · Area · Water Level

Cut and Fill a Pad

Draw the pad, set the target elevation and see surplus or required volume. Or let the tool balance itself.

Cut · Fill · Net Volume

Build a Road or Fence

Draw the route and read its distance, elevation profile and steepest grade. Attach station data as you go.

Distance · Profile · Max Grade

Trace for Drainage

Place a point and find the contributing catchment area. Draw a line; get back low points for culvert placement.

Contributing Area · Flow Path

Set a Setback

Change the setback distance and see what remains inside the usable boundary.

Gross · Excluded · Usable Area

Split into Zones

Divide the property into workable pieces and resize them while acreage updates.

Zone Count · Acreage by Zone/Purpose

One property, multiple intuitive tools, informed by the mapping layers. You are not buying a single answer. Revisit the plan and recalculate as often as the decision changes.

What you get

The layers behind every number.

The planning toolkit and the Google Earth property package are one product built from one measured terrain model. Either view is useful alone; together they keep the analysis and the plan in one place.

  1. 01Explore the property. Turn contours, slope, aspect, drainage, landforms, climate and vegetation on or off in Google Earth. Live climate data refreshes automatically.
  2. 02Open the toolkit. The link inside the property package opens a browser already configured for your terrain.
  3. 03Send the plan back. Export ponds, pads, routes, setbacks and zones beside the original terrain analysis.

Owned outright. Free Google Earth Pro and an ordinary browser are all you need. The toolkit is a first-pass planning tool, not a survey or stamped design.

The included Google Earth property package: the same ground behind every toolkit result.
Included file

Contour DXF Exports

Contour lines come with the package as DXF files, ready to open in CAD or pass directly to a designer.

Automatic updates

Live Climate Data

Climate data refreshes on its own, keeping the property package current without another manual download.

Raw data available

Georeferenced Raster Files

Each Google Earth property layer can also be provided as a raw, georeferenced .tif file for GIS or your own analysis.

Sun and shadow

See where winter light actually reaches.

Run December 21 forward hour by hour to see long winter shadows move across the property.

Pricing

The whole product, priced by acreage.

Every price includes the planning toolkit and the Google Earth terrain package. These are complete prices when usable terrain data already exists. If it does not, site capture is available and quoted separately.

Up to 100 acres
$499 CAD

A home quarter, a yard site, or a single field.

101 to 1,000 acres
$999 CAD

A working section, or a run of adjoining quarters.

1,001 to 2,000 acres
$1,449 CAD

A whole block, or several parcels held as one.

Every tier includes the full custom toolkit, all terrain analysis layer categories, contour DXF exports and the property file you own outright. Live climate data refreshes automatically, and each Google Earth property layer can also be provided as a raw, georeferenced .tif. Only the acreage changes. There is no separate software charge and nothing renews.

More than 2,000 acres?

Large properties and regional sites are quoted to suit the extent and outputs.

No terrain data yet?

Drone capture is available and scoped for the site then quoted alongside the package.

Pricing assumes a usable DTM in a supported format and standard package outputs. Site capture and travel are quoted per site. Anything beyond the standard package, such as heavy terrain cleanup or custom analysis, is quoted before it starts.
